Consul General Hanna Pappalardo attended the University Students’ Prizes of Excellence Award Ceremony organized by the Dante Alighieri Society of Melbourne.

The Prizes acknowledge the outstanding achievements in Italian language by students from Melbourne University, Monash University, the Australian Catholic University (ACU), and La Trobe University.

The ceremony was a great opportunity to celebrate and promote the Italian language in Victoria.

She also highlighted the relevance of the Italian language to promote better people-to-people relations, to improve communication skills while opening up new professional opportunities thanks to the strong appeal of the “Made in Italy” brand and products of excellence.

She took the opportunity to recall the upcoming Week of the Italian Language in the World to be held from October 17 to 22, 2022, which will be devoted to articulating in an innovative way the theme “Italian and the Youth”, inviting everyone to join the rich program of activities organized under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, by the Italian Cultural Institute in Mellbourne, Co.As.It Melbourne, Comites Victoria and Tasmania and the Dante Alighieri Society of Melbourne.
