Long – stay National student visa

A long – stay National student visa allows applicants to stay in Italy from 91 to 365 days for study purposes. Australian citizens do not require a visa if their study program in Italy is shorter than 90 days.

RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR LONG – STAY NATIONAL STUDENT VISA HOLDERS

Within 8 days from entering Italy, long – stay student visa holders must apply for a residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) from the local Police Station (Questura). With a residence permit issued for study purposes, holders are allowed to work for no more than 20 hour per week. For more information you can click here.
