Yesterday, our Vice Consul Mariagiovanna Rizzo had the honor of participating in the official inauguration of Amplifon Foundation’s activities in Australia, with the launch of the ‘Ciao!’ Project in the Victoria region. This project, born in Italy in 2020 to combat elderly isolation during the pandemic, has already engaged approximately 20,000 individuals across 200 aged care facilities in Italy.
The initiative equips facilities with a high-quality video presence system, fostering emotional connections between the elderly and their families, while providing new opportunities for entertainment and active engagement. In Australia, the project has been implemented in collaboration with Monash University.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and collaborators, including Amplifon Australia’s leadership and Amplifon Foundation’s CEO Maria Cristina Ferradini, for making this day special. We are excited to see the ‘Ciao!’ Project expand beyond European borders and bring inclusion and well-being to Australia as well.
