For example, applicants residing in Sydney cannot apply for visa services at the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne.

Please note that Australian citizens do not require an entry visa to Italy for stays of less than 90 days.

To apply for a Schengen visa at the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, you will need to:

We strongly recommend that you book your appointment as soon as you begin planning your trip and before incurring any travel-related expenses. If you are unable to find a suitable appointment, we encourage you to check the online booking system regularly, as appointments may become available due to cancellations by other users;
- Download the checklist that best suits your visa application and attend your appointment with all the required documentation, strictly in hard copy;
- If you meet all the requirements at the time of your appointment, visa processing times range from a few days up to 14 days, depending on the individual case.
