Culture is an essential element of Italian identity in the world and represents a material and immaterial heritage that can be drawn on to face the contemporary challenges. It includes in its own right the Italian language as a legacy of the past and a bridge to the future, and scientific research, a sector in which our country can boast world-class peaks of excellence.
It is the task if the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affair to support and promote the Italian language, culture and science in the world.
