As of March 2023, the 27 countries part of the Schengen area are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You must lodge the application for a Schengen visa at the Embassy \/ Consulate of the country that you intend to visit or, if you intend to visit more than one Schengen State, the Embassy \/ Consulate of the country where you will spend the longest period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you intend to visit several Schengen States and the stays will be of equal length, you must apply at the Embassy \/ Consulate of the country of first entry into the Schengen area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To apply for a Schengen visa with the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, you will need to:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Book your appointment through our online booking system Prenot@mi (click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/Home?ReturnUrl=%2fUserArea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>). We strongly recommend that you book your appointment as soon as you start planning your trip and\u00a0<strong>before<\/strong>\u00a0making any expenses related to your trip.
