HOW TO REGISTER IN THE ELECTORAL ROLL

The election to renew the Com.It.Es. (Committee for Italians abroad) will be held before the end of 2021. The Com.It.Es. (Committee for Italians abroad) is a democratically elected committee which works to identify and support the needs of the Italian community in Australia. The Com.It.Es. assists Italian citizens in dealing with diplomatic and consular services.

Italian citizens over the age of 18, residing abroad and registered with AIRE (Register of Italians residing abroad) before the 3rd of June 2021 can vote for this important election.

The Com.It.Es election is a vote by mail: the Consulate will send the ballot via mail to eligible voters who will have registered in the electoral roll with the Consulate by the 3rd of November 2021.

There are multiple ways to register as a voter:

    1. Once logged in, select “Consular Register and AIRE” and then “Application for registration in the electoral roll for the COMITES elections”
    2. by filling out a paper form. The paper form, together with a copy of your Italian passport, must be presented at the Consulate. That can:
      • be taken into the Consulate in person
      • be sent via mail to the Consulate (509 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, 3004, VIC)
      • be sent via email at the following email address: melbourne.elezioni@esteri.it
